On 3rd october 2007,a seminar was organised by communication managnent & technology department at GJU.it was my pleasure to attend that seminar.the main attraction of the seminar " Dr. Rajiv Dixit "the resident of haryana yog shiver committee there to give us information about the adverse effect of advertising.
He unfolded many facts about cold drinks that these drinks are not good for health contain pesticides that can lead to cancer.Dr.Dixit, an expert and a genius in the field of reserch revealed that a stars who promote these drinks, actually does not drink themselves. His brief conversation with "Amir khan" revealed that Amir The Brand embassder of "Coca Cola" company himself do not consider these drinks safe.The only thing that attracts them is money they get for promoting these drinks moreover theCOCO-COLA & the PEPSI both the companies are the backbone of USA so the money they get from these products in our country, goes straight to the banks of USA . Indirectly they are taking our money & in return they are giving us the diseases that are difficult to be cured.
Similar in the case with FAIR & LOVELY , cream used by many youngsters for fairness. In reality, it costs nothing to the company but proves to be very expensive for the people who use this product & inturn gives no benifit to the customers.He suggested that we should use natural remedies inspite of using these creams that gives no benifit.
This seminar has revealed many important facts that which are mostly used by the younger generation. So this is the high time that we should have the proper knowledge of products we are using & should not blindly follow the advertisement we see or hear on various media.
